Instant Pot Goulash
This is my take on American Goulash, but for the Instant Pot (or any Instant Pot type pressure cooker). It's inspired by a million recipes on the internet. Note: I usually eyeball the spice measurements in this recipe, so don't feel like you have to be too close.
Ingredients
~1.3# hamburger
~1 carton beef stock
Most of 1 normal small can of tomato paste
2 14.5 oz cans diced tomatoes. I like Fire Roasted, but you have a bunch of options.
1 small to medium onion, diced
2 or more cloves of garlic
1 heaped tsp? onion powder
1 heaped tsp? garlic powder
1 Tbsp Oregano
1 Tbsp Parsley flakes
1 Tbsp (ish) of Chipotle Tabasco (You can replace the Tabasco with paprika. I like a nice Hungarian paprika, but whatever type you like works.)
1 # uncooked Cavatappi pasta (Don't use quick cook pasta for this! You can use other types of macaroni if you like, but elbow mac doesn't hold up as well for this in my opinion. I also like Cavatappi for mac & cheese!)
A shredded cheese you like for topping (obviously optional)
Cavatappi Pasta
Brown hamburger in Instant Pot and drain. You can skip draining if the meat's not too fatty.
Add remaining ingredients (pasta last) and give a stir. I add the pasta last to try and prevent it from overcooking, which is more of a problem with regular elbow macaroni.
Cook on manual high pressure for 4 minutes
Quick-release steam
I like to top with cheese, but that's up to you.
